Documentary created for OFF, Brazilian TV Channel - Globosat
Uretano no Asfalto is a deep dive into the atmosphere of the 70’s. It’s a search of the Southern Californian skateboard’s roots and It’s influence in the beginning of the skate vibe in São Paulo. The documentary shows the impact of technological innovation that revolutionized skateboard history: wheels made of urethane. The Cadillac Wheels launched in California in 1972 brought more speed and grip, allowing most daring maneuvers and turned the toy in a sport.
52 minutes long, the documentary, which is still in production, includes testimonials of characters who participated in these pioneer stories of sports, including: skaters, photographers, artists and businessmen. The documentary’s idea is to understand the urban youth movement that changed cultural concepts in the arts, music and sport, breaking paradigms and influencing future generations.
