Mar Brasil is a documentary series that travels along the Brazilian coastline to showcase what traditional communities, researchers, and institutions are doing to confront the immense threats to the sea and advocate for the preservation of marine biodiversity in the South Atlantic. Throughout the episodes, we delve deeper into the diversity, knowledge, secrets, and realities of those who rely on the Brazilian sea. Navigating through breathtaking locations, the series prompts us to reflect on our own habits and how our actions directly impact the ocean's health.

This expedition is led by photographer, diver, and sailor Luciano Candisani, whose perspective introduces us to stories of those who make their livelihood from the sea. Through conversations with experts, Candisani bridges the gap between science and the traditional knowledge of the communities encountered on this journey.
